history

I have been told that I have been drawing since I could hold an object in my hand. Since before I can remember. Rather contently I have continued to do so. At the age of 17 I was introduced to a blow torch. I began fabricating small sculptures and jewelry using sheet metal, wire, and silver solder. It was then that I fell in love with making things out of natural materials. Manipulating them using fire, water, and precise tools felt like nothing I had ever experienced before. Eventually I completed my BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing Design from Syracuse University in 2013 and my MFA in Jewelry and Gemstones from The University of Trier in Idar-Oberstein, Germany in 2019. My understanding of working with a variety of materials including wood, metal, & stone in my artistic practice as well as professionally for other artists and businesses spans over fifteen years. Slowly over the years I have been working to build a business of my own using my artistic skills and vision to use high quality and ethically sourced materials to enhance the natural beauty of the home and the wearer. To become a fully independent artist making things with my hands has been a lifelong dream come true.

philosophy

Object Flux is an experiment. It is a practice and a thought process. It's a state of being when different materials blend together to enhance each other. When the old and new speak in a common language to say, "hello."
